JOHN FRANKLIN - Co Writer 

John Franklin’s extensive talents as an actor span feature film, television and theatre.  He has appeared in such films as Children of the Corn 666 co-writing with Tim Sulka and reprising his role as the boy preacher, Isaac (which he originated in the first Children of the Corn), Python, Wag the Dog, The Man in the Iron Mask, George B (Sundance Film Festival), Tammy & The T-Rex and many others.  He also originated the role of Cousin Itt in both The Addams Family and Addams Family Values, which starred Raul Julia and Anjelica Houston.

He is also known for his many guest star roles on television on such shows as Beauty and the Beast, Highway to Heaven, Cagney & Lacey and The Yellow Rose, to name a few He is also known for major roles in the television movies The Christmas Secret with Richard Thomas and Beau Bridges and Disney’s Tower of Terror, starring Steve Guttenberg and Kirsten Dunst.  On the stage, John has co-starred with the Monkees’ Davy Jones in Oliver! and has appeared in regional theatre productions around the country.

In addition to his writing work with Tim Sulka, John received his MFA in Screenwriting from National University and continues to pursue screenwriting with several exciting projects in various stages of development.  John is also an educator, teaching Shakespeare and Screenwriting.

In Prime Cuts, his first graphic novel, fans will recognize John as the inspiration for the character of Pushmi Imhsup.  John looks forward to unleashing more of his twisted imagination in future volumes of Prime Cuts.

 

TIM SULKA – Co Writer/Producer

Tim Sulka is a versatile screenwriter, playwright and producer.  His first feature, co-written with actor John Franklin, Children of the Corn 666, was produced and distributed by Miramax/ Dimension and directed by Kari Skogland.  John Franklin starred in the film, reprising the role of “Isaac” which he created in Stephen King’s cult classic Children of the Corn.  The film also starred Nancy Allen and Stacy Keach.  Franklin and Sulka have also developed and written several feature films and miniseries for Connie Stevens’ Shane Productions, as well as a video series on good parenting.  Prior to this, Sulka and Franklin were selected out of thousands of applicants to be part of the Warner Bros. Sitcom Writers Workshop.  Tim is currently co-writer of the book and lyrics for The Most Miserable Christmas Tree, a delightful (and slightly off-kilter!) holiday musical which he wrote with Debra Barsha, composer of Radiant Baby, a musical about the life of artist Keith Haring.

Formerly, Tim Sulka served as the Managing Director of the Alliance Theatre Company of Chicago, co-producing productions of Come Back Little Sheba, The Ruling Class, Moonchildren and The Wake of Jamey Foster to name a few.  He now serves as the Associate Company Manager on the Broadway production of the Global Hit, Jersey Boys.

Tim is currently a partner in Laddsville Entertainment, which is producing the first installment of Prime Cuts.

 

STAN MAKSUN - ILLUSTRATOR (VOL.2)

Stan is a sci-fi/fantasy/horror illustrator and author. He received his degree in Illustration & English from the University of Montevallo in 1995. Since then, he’s done a wide range of professional work including skateboards, t-shirts, posters, children's books, etc. Most recently his art was featured in the 150th Anniversary edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Pickatale publishers. Stan credits both his father (a NASA meteorologist) and his wife (a mathematician) with helping develop his fascination for space exploration and various life forms (those on Earth and those tantalizing possibilities that lie beyond). ROB GUTMAN - Illustrator (Vol.1)

Originally from Farmington Hills, MI, Rob grew up on the darker comic books of the 80's and the muscle bound mutants of the 90's. He now currently resides in Austin, Texas with his wife, Tina, and daughter, Aria.In addition to his love of comics, and work as a graphic artist and illustrator, Rob sings and plays guitar in a local Austin band.

STERLING BRIDGE PRODUCTIONS - Co-Producers

Sterling Bridge Productions LLC (Producer) was formed in the summer of 2005 by Pamela Lloyd & Christian Pimsner to co-produce Christine Jorgensen Reveals, a 2006 Drama Desk Award Winner and GLAAD Media Award Nominee. 

Since then they have followed an eclectic path executive producing a Brazillian Jazz album Conjunto Suor, co-producing with Single Malt Productions a rock opera The Screams of Kitty Genovese for the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and most recently becoming a partner in Laddsville Entertainment to produce the graphic novel Prime Cuts written by John Franklin and Tim Sulka.
